Roblox has announced one of the biggest updates to its creator platform by introducing a new suite of artificial intelligence (AI) tools designed to make game development faster and more accessible. The main highlight is Build, a feature that allows users to create game prototypes directly within the Roblox app using simple text prompts.
With this new feature, users can describe their game ideas—including environments, characters, and gameplay mechanics—and the AI will automatically generate a playable starting point. The project can then be further refined in Roblox Studio using more advanced development tools. According to Roblox, the goal is to enable more people to create games, even without programming experience.
In addition to Build, Roblox also introduced new AI-powered assistants for developers that can detect bugs, recommend gameplay improvements, and analyze game performance data. The company believes these tools will help both independent creators and professional studios produce higher-quality experiences in less time.
The update has begun rolling out in a testing phase for selected users and is expected to expand to more regions over the coming months. Roblox also stated that it will continue using its moderation and safety systems to ensure that AI-generated games comply with the platform's community standards.
